This Chord Soloing/Chord Melody Workshop will be a 3-month series of monthly workshops which will cover the many components that make this type of playing one of the hallmarks of steel guitar playing. Mike brings his knowledge of harmony, the steel guitar and a forward-looking approach to help you gain the tools necessary to create your own chord melodies.
Once a month, Mike will post a new workshop, which will include insights into creating chord melodies based on a few chosen standards, and also how to improvise using chords. Participants will also be given assignments to create arrangements of their own, which Mike will review with you personally. This is one of the benefits of becoming an active member.
